Find the right help

Moving Services, down to the details.

Plan your project

Loading help with clear responsibilities

You arrange the vehicle

A labor-only request is for carrying, loading or unloading; it does not automatically include a vehicle or driver. Identify the truck or container, who supplies it, and where it will be positioned.

Plan the load and equipment

Send an inventory and call out awkward or heavy items. Confirm who provides blankets, straps, dollies and other equipment, as well as who secures and checks the load for transport. Ask about items that require specialist handling.

Coordinate both appointments

Give separate time windows for loading and unloading if both are needed. Describe stairs and carrying distances at each stop. Confirm how time, minimums, waiting and additional work are charged before reserving labor.

Plan your project

Get the right item to the right place

Confirm the collection

Provide item dimensions, photos, the pickup contact and any collection deadline. For a seller or store pickup, confirm the item is paid for, released for collection and available at the agreed time.

Measure access at both ends

Check entrances, stair turns and the intended placement area before booking. Tell the crew if disassembly may be required. A furniture delivery request should include carrying and placement expectations, not only the driving route.

Agree on the handoff

State who will be present to release and receive the item. Confirm transportation, protective materials and any assembly separately. If an old item also needs removal, include it in the quote rather than assuming disposal is part of delivery.

A moving plan for both addresses

Build a practical inventory

List large furniture room by room and estimate the number of packed boxes. Include apartments, small moves and local household moves in the same planning conversation. Flag fragile or unusually heavy items for explicit confirmation.

Describe pickup and delivery

Share both addresses, stairs, lifts, parking distance and building access rules. Reserve elevators or loading areas with the property manager when required. Confirm whether transportation is part of the agreed service or supplied separately.

Make arrival easier

Label boxes by destination room and decide where large furniture should go. Confirm disassembly, reassembly and packing responsibilities in advance. Keep documents, medicines and essentials with you, and update the crew if the inventory or access changes.

Know what you are booking

Moving help, with the responsibilities clear.

A move may mean carrying a few pieces, loading a rented truck or arranging a move with transportation. Describe the help you need at both addresses so BRS can confirm the appropriate scope.

Labor and transportation are different

For labor-only work, identify who supplies, drives and parks the vehicle or container. For transportation requests, confirm the route, vehicle arrangements and which parts BRS will perform before booking. A loading enquiry does not automatically reserve a truck or driver.

Plan both ends of the move

Send an inventory with large or unusual pieces called out. Describe stairs, doorways, elevators, gates and the distance from parking to the entrance at pickup and delivery. Ask the property manager about reservations and access rules before agreeing on the work window.

Packing, protection and placement

Tell the crew what will already be boxed, what may need disassembly and where each large piece should go. Ask which protective materials and equipment are included. Fragile, unusually heavy or specialist items need explicit discussion; a general moving request is not approval to handle every object.

Compare complete estimates

Ask how labor time is counted, whether travel and minimums apply, and whether the estimate includes transportation, equipment, extra stops or assembly. Confirm payment and cancellation terms directly. Share changes to the inventory or access before moving day so the plan stays realistic.

Do you offer labor-only moving help?

Yes. Discuss loading, unloading or agreed furniture placement. Confirm who supplies and drives the vehicle, which addresses need help and when the vehicle will be available.

How are moving hours calculated?

Ask for the terms in your estimate: crew size, any minimum time, when the clock starts and stops, travel time and extra work. There is no single approved public hourly rate displayed on this site.

Is a deposit the full cost of a move?

No. If a deposit is required for your booking, confirm its amount, whether it is credited toward the total and the applicable rescheduling terms. The full service price depends on the agreed estimate and work.

How should I prepare for moving day?

Label boxes by room, set aside essentials, confirm both addresses and access, and flag fragile or unusually heavy pieces. Ask about disassembly and vehicle responsibilities before moving day.
